And then, there were two. Yes, it´s just me and Wyatt again, a couple of Portlander´s far away from home. Kim left on Friday, and it felt strange to watch her ride away in the cab, for a few reasons. First, that her visit had gone so fast, time is moving super fast now, and it has been so long since Wyatt and I were on our own it is strange to have it just be us again, after so long with a big group of people, negotiating where and when to do things. It was so amazing though! Now, we are back in Taganga to lay low and save a little money, it is so easy to do so little here and be pretty content doing it. Yes, back in Taganga, and back in our old house. It is just us there, in a big house, swinging in hammocks and feeling a little strange without the buddies there with us. But we have settled in, had a huge rain storm again last night that was so close to us, it was the loudest thunder I have ever heard in my life!
We extended our visas on Friday which was a bit of a chore, but glad to have it done, my fingerprints now in the Colombian system.
Not much else to report. Wyatt told me, in not so many words yesterday, that the blog has become, well, boring. It all looks the same, he said, since we have been doing all the same things and not moving around that much. So, my apologies, and for the next 2 weeks or so, there will probably not be much of interest being posted, but, you never know what we might encounter. And then, we fly to Panama!!!
Today, one of my favorite ¨kids,¨ Mackie, is moving on to the big man-lair in the sky, and I will miss him. I wish I was in Portland to give him kisses, and Wyatt was there to give him a huge pile of catnip. But we send our love. R.I.P. Mackie, you will be missed.
